Audrey, an early learning and childcare specialist, is joint Chief Executive Officer of the company. She has experience working at every level of education. As a former Primary Head Teacher, she understands early learning and childcare from the child’s point of view. As a previous Senior Lecturer at the University of Aberdeen, she is skilled in designing engaging and motivating learning opportunities for students. Audrey’s last post in local government was as Lead Officer Early Years and she brings that knowledge and understanding of the sector to her work with nurseries and nursery managers.
Audrey has lived in the north of Scotland for over thirty years and is committed to the future of children and young people in the area. She lives in Kemnay with her family, her two cats and dog.
Learning, Development and Qualifications Specialist, CEO
Linda, Secondary Education Specialist, is joint Chief Executive Officer of the company. She has experience working at every level of education. As a former Education Network Manager and Curriculum Support Officer, she understands the primary and early years settings and knows what excellent provision entails. As a former Secondary School Head Teacher, she understands the various strands that come together in the provision of high-quality learning opportunities for all students, and how this links to the variety and standards of evidence required by the SQA. Linda’s last post in local government was as an Education Officer in the Foundation Apprenticeship project team, with a particular focus on ‘Children and Young People’, and she brings that knowledge and understanding of this qualification framework to her work with placement providers.
Linda has lived and worked in the north of Scotland for over thirty years and is committed to the future of children and young people in the area. Having taken a break to cycle the world on a gap year,she has now settled back to life in the countryside. She spends her spare time creating the garden and manageing the woodland for the steading complex conversion project she is undertaking with her husband. The five family dogs enjoy helping out with this too!
Senior Associate
Lesley, a Secondary Education/Additional Support Needs Specialist, is an Associate of the company. She has experience of working at every level of education, latterly as a Quality Improvement Manager. Lesley is passionate about improving the lives of young people and their families. In previous roles she has developed support programmes for students with additional support needs, including those with social, emotional and mental health challenges. She understands and is passionate about the importance of wellbeing to enable young people to access learning. Lesley has significant experience of working with other agencies and the third sector; including delivery of qualifications in Early Education and Childcare. She brings a commitment to building positive relationships with young people and partners.
Lesley, a mother of two, who shares a home with her husband and five dogs has lived and worked in the north of Scotland for over thirty-five years. She loves gardening, reading and shopping for vintage items.
Senior Assessor
Claire is an experienced Early Years and Childcare professional. She has worked in the industry since 1997 in a variety of roles and settings. As the manager of nurseries and out-of-school clubs she supported teams to create a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for children. She is passionate about children receiving the best start in life. She has a vast knowledge of the requirements and expectations for the Early Years and Childcare workforce.
Claire is an extremely experienced Assessor and Verifier. She has supported candidates to achieve their Early Education and Childcare qualifications for many years. She has worked closely with awarding bodies to ensure the qualifications delivered meet the highest standards. She firmly believes that quality carers and educators are key to providing the best service for children and families.
Claire shares her life with her husband, two children and dog. She has lived in Aberdeenshire all her life. She loves spending time with her family and friends. She enjoys live music, the theatre and walking in the beautiful Scottish countryside.
FA Tutor / SVQ Assessor
Rachel has always had a heart for children and young people. She is passionate about providing environments in which they feel valued and can shine, reaching their full potential. She believes in the power of positivity, respectful behaviour and encouragement.
Rachel has over 17 years of primary teaching experience working with all stages from nursery to Primary Seven. She has worked as a Class Teacher and an Additional Support Needs Teacher, loving the busyness, excitement and challenges that a classroom brings. She loves asking questions and believes that every child and young person’s voice should be heard.
She is excited about nurturing young people in the development of their skills and expertise, building positive relationships and seeing their confidence grow throughout their experience. Watching them flourish as they try new activities and challenges within a secure, professional environment is something she finds hugely rewarding.
Rachel, a mother of three, lives at home with her partner, youngest daughter and their new puppy. Rachel treasures her family and friends and is at her happiest around the dinner table, with all her family together.
SVQ Assessor
Jodie is passionaate about supporting children in their learning and development and ensuring that they have the best environment in which to thrive and learn. She enjoys supporting professional collegues to gain the practice knowledge and understanding of how to provide the best environment for children's development so that they flourish. Jodie began her career as an Early Years Practitioner back in 2007 and has since built on her knowledge and experience through working as an Assessor and more recently, a Primary School Teacher. Jodie is also passionate in her own learning and skills development and has successfully completed various qualifications alongside the experience she has gained.
Jodie loves spending time outdoors with her two children and husband. Family time is really important to her and the weekends are important family time. Jodie likes to keep fit and is a keen runner. Jodie will often be running in different races and obstacle races at the weekend, with her little boy joining in with some of the races too!
Technical Support
Geoff is a professional Engineer with 40 years’ experience in Electronics, Electrical and Communications engineering. In his career, Geoff designed and oversaw the implementation of the Falklands and Belize national radio and TV infrastructure along with developing the standalone Radio and TV systems used by the UK Military in hostile environments
Geoff’s first foray into computer systems was in the late 60’s when programming a mainframe in Aberdeen in the Fortan language, and in the early-70’s combining those skills with electronics to build a calculator from discrete components before they were available in the shops. In later years he was developing databases and coding to automate spreadsheets in support of technical and business systems. Geoff has never purchased an “off the shelf” PC but instead has always built his own.
Geoff is proud to support Eastlin in its work to deliver quality training to those who will positively influence the lives of our younger generation
Geoff shares his life with his wife and two black lady labradors, living on the Cowal peninsula in Argyll. He is an active Member and a Trustee of the local Mens Shed where his technical skills are used to assist his local community with technical problems and equipment repairs. He also supports a local community transport company with their Business and IT systems
